A Russian court sentenced Kremlin critic Vladimir Kara-Murza to 25 years in prison for charges linked to his criticism of the war in Ukraine.

The trial was closed off to the public until the sentence, the harshest of its kind since Russia began its full-scale invasion, was announced.

As Mike Armstrong reports, Kara-Murza's wife says the sentence is meant to send a message to other dissidents speaking out against Putin's war.
