People across the United States were on edge as they braced for a verdict in the murder trial of ex-police officer Derek Chauvin as protesters demanded justice for George Floyd on Tuesday outside the Minneapolis government building where the trial concluded.
Chauvin was found guilty of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, a result that gave way to relief and jubilation.
Marches and vigils are still being held across the US following the verdict.
