Italy launches 'heat code' for hospital emergencies

Health alerts have been issued for 16 cities in Italy, where temperature records are expected to be broken.
Increasing numbers of elderly people are seeking help in Rome.
Ministry of Health advises 'heat code' in hospitals for fast-track care of heat-related issues. Urgent at-home care teams are suggested for relief.
The circular also recommended the creation of a task force to help relieve the burden on hospital emergency rooms by providing urgent at-home care for the elderly and other vulnerable groups.
