Israel's president has urged Benjamin Netanyahu's government to abandon its plan to change the judicial system in favour of a model with broad support.
This comes as continuing demonstrations against the plan forced United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to change the itinerary for his visit to Tel Aviv.
