Israeli police have clashed with Palestinian worshippers at the al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem, as firecrackers appear to explode in the area.

Palestinian media reported that worshippers were attacked by police who had entered the holy site.

Video appears to show firecrackers exploding as the police moved through the building.
