Thousands of people gathered in Tel Aviv on Saturday to demand the Israeli government do more to secure the release of hostages still held by Hamas militants in Gaza.
The protest was held a day after three hostages were mistakenly identified as a “threat” and fatally shot by Israeli forces in Gaza, according to military officials.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, meanwhile, has vowed to maintain military pressure on Gaza but has hinted that talks are underway towards a new deal.
