Since the war, Israel has banned the entry of tens of thousands of Palestinian workers.

Thousands of people from Gaza were detained and then sent back to a war zone or to the West Bank where they remain stranded.

Now, Israel is on a recruitment drive in countries such as India and Sri Lanka to address its labour shortage.
