Israel-Hamas war: Met Commissioner calls for 'sharper' laws in dealing with extremism

Met Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley has said his officers are working "ruthlessly" to arrest anyone who "steps over the line" by committing a hate crime - as tens of thousands pro-Palestine protesters took to the streets of London on Saturday.

Though the protest was largely peaceful, nine people were arrested and five people have now been charged but the Met have faced criticism of their policing of the march.
