Israel-Hamas war: Labour frontbencher 'empathises' with colleagues calling for ceasefire in Gaza

An "insane" amount of bureaucracy at the Rafah crossing from Egypt into Gaza is slowing the delivery of aid to a "dribble", the head of the UN's World Food Programme has said.

Shadow environment secretary Steve Reed says he understands and "empathises" with colleagues who are calling for a ceasefire, having seen the scenes from inside Israel and Gaza.
