Approval for a deal that would see Hamas exchange at least 50 Israeli hostages for 150 Palestinian prisoners came overnight with the Israeli government clearing the final hurdle.
The deal includes a temporary ceasefire of four days and will allow for 300 aid trucks to enter Gaza.
News of the deal has been met with mixed feelings for families of the Israeli hostages as no one knows who will be part of the 50 freed hostages.
