Vladimir Putin offers African countries free Russian grain which would replace the Ukrainian exports which he has blocked - and he says Russia is expecting a record harvest. President Vladimir Putin made the offer during talks with African leaders in St Petersburg.

This comes after Moscow's huge selling of arms to the African continent, and the accusations against the Wagner group of having conducted massacres in the Central African Republic.

African leaders met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg for the Russia-Africa Summit. The second-ever Russia-Africa Summit comes at a crucial time for Mr. Putin as Russia finds itself increasingly isolated on the world stage.
