In northern Ghana there's concern that the long borders with Togo and Burkina Faso could allow radical jihadism to take root in communities there. Local people are being encouraged to organise 'watchdog committees', keeping an eye out for suspicious strangers. Authorities are dubbing this “See something, Say something”, an initiative that draws on local community knowledge to augment the work of security forces.
