China is trying to counter the impact of Western countries reviewing and reducing their exposure to the world's second largest economy. At the first China International Supply Chain Expo, Premier Li Qiang said that China opposes what he called de-coupling and that the country wanted closer trade ties with all countries. Guido Cozzi, Professor for Macroeconomics at St. Gallen University says Beijing is in urgent need of foreign direct investment and some positive economic news.
