A suicide bomber killed at least 35 people and wounded dozens in a Sadr City market in Baghdad on Monday.
The third attack in this packed neighbourhood in the Iraqi capital comes on the eve of the Eid al-Adha festival.
The armed group ISIL (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the bombing.
Iraq's Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi met his top security officials to discuss the attack.
Observers are concerned the country will see more violence as the upcoming parliamentary elections approach.
