A Canadian woman is living a nightmare, as she watches the Iranian government crack down on protests in her hometown.

Video that is making its way out of Iran shows the Iranian government has brought in tanks to crush protests over the death of a young woman.

Mehran's hometown has been one of the hardest hit in the crackdowns by the Iranian regime, with Amnesty International claiming that security forces are firing indiscriminately.

As Negar Mojtahedi reports, Mehran fears for her family.
