Prime Minister Justin Trudeau delivered virtual remarks on Saturday during an event marking the second anniversary of the Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 tragedy.

“We will always continue fighting for the accountability, transparency and justice you deserve,” Trudeau said. “We will not rest until Iran is held accountable.”

The plane was shot down by Iranian forces on Jan. 8, 2020. More than 100 of the 176 people killed had ties to Canada.

The incident has been widely recognized as a national tragedy for Canada, and last year an Ontario court ruled Iran’s actions were an intentional act of terrorism.
