The coronavirus variant first detected in India is now in Canada.

Quebec has identified what is believed to be the first case of the B.1.617 variant in the country. While it’s not clear how it got here, there are still daily flights between India and Canada.

The United Kingdom is imposing new rules on some foreigners who were in that country recently, amid concerns its fueling a devastating fourth wave.

As Redmond Shannon reports, Canada is wondering if it should adopt a similar strategy.
