More than 100 people have died in floods in India and Nepal.
Many of those deaths have been in India’s Uttarakhand state, where thousands of people remain cut off after landslides blocked roads.
The National Disaster Response Force has rescued more than 300 people from flood-affected areas of Uttarakhand, the federal force said on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the southern state of Kerala is on high alert for more heavy rainfall, after 39 deaths in the past week.

Al Jazeera’s Elizabeth Puranam reports from Kottayam, in India’s Kerala state.
