Tens of thousands of women and girls in India have held protests against child marriage.
Launching a nationwide campaign against child marriage from Rajasthan, Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi has appealed to the nation to initiate collective action against child marriage to end the social evil.
The UN says India is home to the largest number of child brides in the world.
It has warned child brides are more likely to experience domestic violence, and struggle to earn a living.
