Assam's Child Marriage Crackdown Despite Criticism

Over 2,000 people have been arrested in a massive crackdown on child marriages in Assam, the police said. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that the drive against child marriage will continue till the next assembly elections in 2026.
