For nearly three weeks, farmers have been camping out near India's parliament in New Delhi, demanding the government repeal three controversial laws passed last September.
The sit-in is part of a larger farmers’ protest which has been going on for more than eight months.
With no resolution in sight, the farmers' unions are planning another mass protest to coincide with Independence Day on August 15.
Al Jazeera's Pavni Mittal reports.
