Hundreds of millions of people in China are travelling in the next five days for the longest public holiday since the Lunar New Year.
Many travel websites have reported a surge in bookings with numbers set to surpass pre-pandemic levels and tickets for iconic landmarks like the Great Wall and Forbidden City already sold out.
