Medics rushed injured Gazans into hospital on Thursday after an Israeli airstrike targeted a neighbourhood in Khan Younis.

Shrouded bodies fill Nasser Hospital's corridors and emergency rooms, where wounded children are being treated by the medics.

"We were sitting and eating when we found something falling over our heads. We didn’t have any Hamas (members) or anything, if they’re saying this is because of Hamas. I wish we hadn’t come (to Khan Younis), I wish we had stayed in Gaza (City)," displaced and injured child, Yara Shanan, said.

Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry said in a statement an Israeli airstrike killed 20 Palestinians on Wednesday near Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military.
