Hurricane Iota brings destruction to Nicaragua

Several houses were completely destroyed in a small town of #PuertoCabezas on the North East coast of #Nicaragua on Wednesday. #HurricaneIota made landfall in the country on Monday night with heavy rains and sustained winds of at least 250 kilometres (125 miles) per hour.
Puerto Cabezas conctructions were seen reduced to rubble as strong winds brought several trees down and the beachfront was severely flooded.
At least six people have reportedly been killed and an estimated number of 60,000 evacuated to more than 560 shelters set up across the country.
Iota's destruction in the country follows the landfall of Hurricane Eta which killed at least 182 in Central America earlier this month.
