One-fifth of eligible Canadians are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19, paving a path out of pandemic restrictions.

Some provinces are using mobile vaccine clinics as a tool to reach underserviced areas or hesitant populations. A race is still underway to get people fully vaccinated as the highly transmissible Delta variant continues to spread.

As Mike Drolet explains, epidemiologists now say a 90 per cent vaccination rate is likely needed for herd immunity.
