A former editor of the publication which first brought the Horizon Post Office scandal to light says the software "was trouble even before the system was rolled out to 18,000 post offices."
The government has today introduced new legislation to overturn the convictions of victims of the Post Office scandal.
Computer Weekly first published the story in 2009, its former editor Tony Collins told Sky News there is secrecy around IT issues in government which meant it remained covered up.
He went on to say that Fujitsu software is still used in many government departments and the government "can't afford to fall out with Fujitsu."
