Around 700 sub-postmasters and sub-mistresses were accused of theft, fraud and false accounting between 1999 and 2015 as the result of an error in the Horizon accounting system.

Representatives from the Post Office and Fujitsu - the firm behind the faulty Horizon software - faced scrutiny from MPs.
