Hong Kong's nine most prominent, pro-democracy activists have been sentenced to jail terms for taking part in anti-government protests in 2019.
Among them is veteran campaigner Martin Lee, who helped launch the city's largest opposition party in the 1990s, and media tycoon Jimmy Lai.
Britain's foreign minister says prosecuting leading pro-democracy activists is unacceptable.
Al Jazeera's Adrian Brown reports from Hong Kong.
