Home Sec to say being gay or a woman not enough for asylum

The Home Secretary, Suella Braverman, is expected to question whether modern asylum law is still relevant in a speech to a think tank in Washington DC later today. Ms Braverman is due to argue that offering asylum to a person because they are gay, women or fearing discrimination in their home country is not sustainable.
