Fleetwood Mac co-founder Mick Fleetwood has told Sky News he felt "helpless" as he watched flames destroy the town he has called home for more than 20 years.

The British star was in Los Angeles as he watched the disaster unfold.

Nearly 100 people died when wildfires destroyed Lahaina on the island of Maui.

Fleetwood owned a popular restaurant in the town but that was destroyed in the fire.
