Lord Mountbatten, the last Viceroy of India, had numerous thoughts in his mind during the Independence of India and the partition that happened at midnight. Along with such, numerous questions like how the day of Independence decided to be the 15th of August remains a mystery, which would be unsolved when we have a look at his diary.
