Gunmen attack school in Nigeria, hundreds of children now missing | DW News

More than a hundred children have gone missing after armed men attacked a school in northwest Nigeria. Police say the gunmen shot wildly and overpowered security guards at Bethel Baptist High School. The missing children are thought to have been kidnapped. Around one thousand students have been abducted in Nigeria since December.
Northern Nigeria is seeing more and more of these attacks. This is the fourth mass school kidnapping in Kaduna state in seven months. DW’s Fred Muvunyi fills us in on why this part of the country has become such a dangerous place for schoolchildren.
