Greek state workers went on strike Thursday, protesting proposed changes to labour laws that they say infringe on workers' rights.
The protest was attended by thousands and took place outside parliament in Athens as lawmakers discussed the bill.
The 24-hour nationwide strike disrupted public transport, caused traffic delays and forced the closure of schools across the country.
Trade unions oppose the changes, which would end the traditional working week, force longer hours and even allow employers to implement a six-day working week.
