According to the police, Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi, the accused in the Gorakhnath temple attack case, has stated that his animosity stems from 'atrocities' done against Muslims. Murtaza, an IIT graduate, admitted to going to Gorakhnath temple because police officers are always stationed there and he intended to flee after attacking them.
