The second in a series of atmospheric rivers has hit areas of British Columbia, while Abbotsford is bracing for more flooding after the Nooksack River in Washington state began to overflow on Sunday. Heather Yourex-West has more on the latest developments.

Preliminary data on the Omicron COVID-19 variant shows an increased potential for transmissibility, a reduction in vaccine effectiveness and increased reinfection. As Sarah Komadina reports, hospitalization rates will be key in understanding whether this new variant poses a problem.
