While Canada's annual inflation rate has cooled to its lowest mark since August 2021, food prices are still rising — albeit at a slower pace than earlier this year. Heather Yourex-West reports on one family's struggle to keep up with bigger grocery bills, and the signs that relief could be coming soon.

Fox News and Dominion Voting Systems reached a settlement on Tuesday in the company's defamation lawsuit against the broadcaster, just before a trial was set to begin on how the network chased viewers over its claims about the 2020 presidential election. As Reggie Cecchini reports, if the trial had gone ahead, the network would have faced an uphill battle, and they still face another legal battle involving another voting company.

Human rights group Safeguard Defenders has exposed an alleged network of dozens of suspected Chinese outposts around the world, including in the U.S. and Canada. Mercedes Stephenson explains where things stand on investigations by the RCMP, including a potential Canadian connection to two U.S. men charged with conspiring to act as agents for China's government.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau defended his family's recent vacation to Jamaica, where they stayed in the villa of a long-time family friend who's previously donated money to the Pierre Elliot Trudeau Foundation. As Touria Izri reports, while the ethics commissioner cleared the trip, Trudeau's judgement was called into question by his political opponents once again.
