The Commons Speaker, Sir Lindsay Hoyle is fending off calls for his resignation after last night's chaotic Gaza debate in the Commons.
After meeting Sir Lindsay this morning, the Scottish National Party leader in Westminster said the Speaker should go. Conservative backbenchers are split on his future.
Sir Lindsay insisted that his motivation had been to ensure the safety of MPs facing intolerable pressure over the vote.
