The G7 group of advanced economies has reached a landmark deal, making it harder for the world's largest companies to avoid paying taxes.
Members have agreed on a new global minimum tax rate of 15 percent that multinational corporations would have to pay regardless of where they locate their headquarters.
The minimum tax rate would prevent companies from siphoning profits offshore into tax havens.
