France's leaders officially inscribe the right to abortion into the nation's constitution with a 300-kilogram seal, in a special ceremony open to the public marking the historic and popular legislation – and timed for International Women's Day.

Earlier this week. France became the first country in 50 years to make abortion a constitutional right - with the country's government saying the move is in response to a tightening of laws in the US.
