Kansas votes to protect abortion rights in state constitution

Voters in Kansas have protected abortion rights in its constitution after the ruling of the Supreme Court which overturned Roe v Wade.

The vote stood in favour of rejecting an amendment that would have allowed state lawmakers to further restrict access to the procedure.
