France riots: 40,000 officers mobilised after fatal police shooting of teenager

France's government has announced the deployment of 40,000 extra police across the country following days of riots after the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy by an officer during a traffic stop.

The Paris suburb of Nanterre, where the 17-year-old driver was killed, saw a second night of violence, while people also took to the streets in other cities across the country.
