France protests: May Day rally set to draw one million people

The annual May Day rally, which takes place in support of workers' rights, has gained extra following in Paris this year after French President Emmanuel Macron raised the retirement age from 62 to 64.

This move has "broken that trust" between the leader and at least 70% of the country who stand against the legislation, which was forced through using special constitutional powers, bypassing parliament.
