French authorities say they are mobilizing some 45,000 police officers again in an effort to quell violent protests and rioting. This despite a noticeably quieter night on Sunday with fewer people arrested. The weekend saw clashes across the country and the home of a local mayor rammed with a car. In Paris the destruction is estimated at some 20 million euros.
