Paris is Europe's deadliest city in a heatwave according to a study by the British medical journal The Lancet. It says people in the French capital are at a higher risk of heat-related deaths than nearly 900 other European cities and towns. The research comes as a group of Paris councilors says that unless the city adapts it could be too hot for people to live there within decades.

Al Jazeera’s Natacha Butler reports from Paris.
