West African nations have given Niger's coup leaders until Sunday to give up power and return to civilian rule.
The region's defence ministers have drawn up a plan for possible military intervention.
Coup leader Abdourahmane Tchiani says he will not bow to pressure and warns any military intervention will be met with force.
