While a wildfire is burning just a few kilometres away from Fort McMurray, Alta., there are plenty of firefighters, helicopters, and heavy equipment assigned to the city to help prevent the blaze from coming closer.
Many of Fort McMurray’s residents have painful memories of the fire that ripped through their homes in 2016.
As Global's Jasmine King reports, a good break in the weather is also helping douse the flames and ease the fears of evacuees.
