Former chancellor Zahawi plans £600m Telegraph takeover bid

Nadhim Zahawi, the former Conservative chancellor, is assembling a £600m bid for The Daily Telegraph, Sky News understands.

Sky's Mark Kleinman reports that Mr Zahawi has approached a number of billionaire investors in the last few weeks to help finance an offer for the daily newspaper, its Sunday sister title and The Spectator magazine.
