Florida police smash window to rescue dog from hot car

Police smashed out a window to rescue a dog they say had been left alone inside a hot car "for quite some time" as the heat index in Bradenton, Florida, soared to 100 degrees.

Authorities say the dog was taken into the custody of animal services while they investigate the incident.
