Just six months remain until Canada's men's national team takes the field in their first FIFA World Cup in 36 years.

But as the men take the field later this year, it's women who are going to be making history as six are set to be part of the group of referees officiating during the global tournament.

As Redmond Shannon reports, the journey has been both about experience but also building respect, something not always seen, with the hope this history-making moment will soon change that.
