Single women have been left out of a new government policy that was meant to level up access to NHS-funded IVF.

They are required to spend thousands of pounds of their own money on artificial insemination first, to prove they’re infertile – a requirement that is now being funded for same-sex couples as part of the new Women’s Health Strategy which came into effect earlier in the year.
